THE CONCLAVE
Each year the Miniature Book Society hosts an annual gathering of its members referred to as a Conclave. The Conclave — typically a three-day event — is held every autumn in a different city and is eagerly anticipated by the members. Conclaves have been held in Princeton (NJ), San Diego (CA), Seattle (WA), New Orleans (LA), Dublin, Ireland, and Amsterdam, Netherlands. Most recently, our Conclave was held virtually with a full schedule of events and presentations. Attendees look forward to guest speakers, tours, workshops, book auctions, a book swap and an all-day book fair, but most of all, connecting with fellow miniature book enthusiasts and the camaraderie that miniature book lovers share.

The 2026 MBS Conclave XLII will be held at the Maritim proArte Hotel in Berlin, Germany. The hotel is located in the heart of Berlin at Friedrichstr. 151/corner Dorotheenstraße 65 (main entrance). Amenities include free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, individually adjustable air conditioning, minifridge bathroom with bathtub, hairdryer. The hotel has a swimming pool, a sauna and a fitness room.

There a many food places close to our hotel, some nice coffee shops with wonderful cakes. And even a Starbucks! All along Friedrichstrasse are many shops of all kinds and right across the street is a huge bookstore with a separate English bookstore. In the basement is a nice place to enjoy food and drink. It has a large vertical garden (59 feet high!) with over 6000 plants and a small waterfall.
